In anticipation of his town hall event in North Augusta, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis received endorsements from 15 South Carolina lawmakers, as announced by the DeSantis campaign on Thursday.
This move was aimed at bolstering support for the governor in the state where two other GOP candidates are running for president.
State Sen. Josh Kimbrell, one of the lawmakers lending their support to the DeSantis campaign, expressed, “Governor DeSantis’ leadership has transformed Florida into a sanctuary for those seeking freedom in a nation where it is currently under attack.”
