The long-standing conservative LGBTQ+ group Log Cabin Republicans is among those critical of the video
“Today’s message from the DeSantis campaign War Room is divisive and desperate, The group said. “Republicans and other commonsense conservatives know Ron Desantis has alienated swing-state and younger voters … extreme rhetoric goes has just ventured into homophobic territory.”
The video released Friday by the 2022 DeSantis presidential campaign t features footage of former President Trump at the Republican National Convention in 2016 saying he would “do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens.”
