Ailing California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein apparently has had enough of young Democrats demanding that she resign.
Feinstein, who is recovering from a case of the shingles, issued a statement Thursday claiming her absence has not slowed Democrats’ efforts to confirm federal judicial nominees.
Senate Republicans threw a roadblock in a plan by Democrats to replace the 89-year-old Feinstein on the Senate Judiciary Committee with Maryland Democrat Sen. Ben Cardin.
