The Justice Department on Monday handed the House a Grand Jury subpoena purportedly in connection with a member’s allegedly misspending federal funds intended for personal security
The subpoena came to light when the House clerk read on the chamber a message of such from House Sergeant at Arms William McFarland.
Just the News has learned that the probe is is related to a House Democrat.
“After consulting with the Office of General Counsel, he had determined compliance with the subpoena is consistent with the rights and privileges of the House,” the clerk said.
