Twitter owner Elon Musk, who has been acting CEO of the social media platform since his purchase was completed, announced on Thursday that he had found a new CEO.
Musk made the announcement, appropriately, via Twitter — and while he did not reveal the name of his new CEO, he did reveal that he had hired a woman for the job and that she would be starting in a matter of just weeks.
“Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks! My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops,” Musk tweeted.
