Evacuations Ordered After PA Train Carrying Hazardous Materials Derails

A freight train derailment in Whitemarsh Township, eastern Pennsylvania, prompted the precautionary evacuation of nearby residences and businesses on Monday morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:50 am when a 40-car CSX freight train derailed just north of Philadelphia. Helicopter footage revealed that around 15 to 20 cars had veered off the tracks.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of hazardous materials leaking from the derailed train cars, and there have been no documented injuries associated with the incident. Authorities are working to assess the situation and address any potential risks or concerns resulting from the derailment.
