Ex-Baltimore Prosecutor Found Guilty Of Perjury

On Thursday, a former leading prosecutor for the city of Baltimore, Marilyn Mosby, was found guilty of charges related to alleged false statements about the finances of a secondary business.
The accusations include improperly accessing retirement funds during the COVID-19 pandemic, utilizing the funds to acquire two homes in Florida.
Following a trial that commenced on Monday, a federal jury convicted Mosby on two counts of perjury. Marilyn Mosby, who served two terms as state’s attorney for Baltimore, faced the charges after a federal grand jury indictment. Notably, she was indicted on perjury charges before being defeated by a Democratic primary challenger in the previous year.
