Ex-MLB Pitcher Arrested In Connection To Murder, Attempted Murder Of His In-Laws

Former major league pitcher Dan Serafini has been arrested in connection to a Lake Tahoe, California murder, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Friday.
Serafini, who pitched in the majors for seven seasons, and Samantha Scott were arrested early on Friday in connection to the June 2021 murder of Robert Gary Spohr, who was found dead with a single gunshot wound at a North Lake Tahoe home, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
Serafini and Scott also are facing charges regarding their possible involvement in the attempted murder of Wendy Wood, 68, according to WLWT5.
