Ex-NHL Player Dies In European League Game After Skate Blade Slashes Throat

Former NHL player Adam Johnson died Saturday is a game in England when he collided with another player whose skate blade reportedly cut his throat.
The game in England’s Elite Ice Hockey League was between the Nottingham Panthers and the Sheffield Steelers.
Johnson was 29.
He played in 13 games for the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins from 2018 to 2020.
