Exxon Mobile, Chevron Shareholders Reject Calls For Stronger Climate Change Proposals

Exxon Mobil Corp and Chevron Corp shareholders on Wednesday overwhelmingly rejected calls for tougher  measures to mitigate climate change.
The shareholders at their annual meetings dismissed over a dozen climate-related proposals.
The results supported the two largest U.S. oil producers in resisting pressure from investor groups calling for the pair to follow European rivals in accepting tougher emissions reductions goals.
