Former New Jersey GOP Gov. Chris Christie, now a 2024 Republican presidential candidate, he won’t challenge Democrat Sen. Bob Menendez, after we was indicted Friday on federal bribery charges, putting his political future in jeopardy.
Christie was asked Sunday about his plans on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
Republican presidential candidate and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Sunday he has no interest in running against Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) following the New Jersey lawmaker’s indictment on federal bribery charges.
“No, I have no interest in being in the United States Senate,” Christie, who also has called the details related to the indictment, including Menendez have gold bars stashed in his home, “sickening.”
