Rep. Carlos Gimenez (R-Fla.) is pressing immigration officials for explanations regarding what he perceives as a “growing trend of Chinese nationals trying to enter the United States illegally.”
In a letter addressed to US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Thursday, a copy of which was exclusively obtained by The Post, Gimenez expressed his ongoing concerns about the border policies of the Biden Administration. He emphasized the need for the US Border Patrol to be well-prepared to intercept individuals exploiting vulnerabilities before entering the country.
“As our adversaries become more emboldened to find unique ways to exploit our weaknesses, it is imperative that the US Border Patrol is prepared to encounter these individuals before they enter the country,” Gimenez conveyed in the letter to CBP acting commissioner Troy Miller.
