GOP Senator Introduces Bill To Cut China Out Of Key Supply Chain

On Friday, Republican Oklahoma Sen. James Lankford introduced the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Security Act, aimed at reducing America’s dependency on Chinese pharmaceutical ingredients.
The legislation, exclusively obtained by the Daily Caller, calls for collaborative efforts among the U.S. and allied countries to mitigate China’s influence on pharmaceutical supply chains.
The proposed act mandates the Food and Drug Administration commissioner and U.S. Trade Representative to compile a report identifying drugs with significant exposure to Chinese supply chains, encompassing raw materials or manufacturing.
