Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth, the man charged with rescuing the company’s biggest brand, Bud Light, from a colossal marketing mistake, has some experience navigating difficult situations.
Whitworth is a former Marine and star athlete who competed in marathons and triathlons, and later joined the the CIA, recruiting and handling spies across the Middle East, before going to Harvard Business School.
In the aftermath of 9/11, from 2001-6, Whitworth worked in some of the toughest spots around the globe at the height of the War on Terror – Pakistan, Tunisia, Iraq.
