A bomb threat targeting a high school in Oregon prompted officials to cancel all classes and activities scheduled for Monday.
The threat was directed at Summit High School in Bend, Oregon, and was conveyed via social media on Saturday. Bend-La Pine Schools informed families about the incident through a letter issued on Sunday evening, as reported by KTVZ.
The letter explained, “Following a discussion with our law enforcement partners, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all classes and activities at Summit High School on Monday, Sept. 11, in response to a threat that was posted on social media this weekend.” It further stated, “Law enforcement agencies are actively investigating this threat, and we believe it is in the best interest of students to remain at home tomorrow.”
