Following tradition, the annual Met Gala in New York City was held the first Monday in May.
This year’s theme was “in honor of Karl,” a tribute to the late designer Karl Lagerfeld.
The event also marked the opening of the “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” exhibit.
The Gala each year raise millions for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.
Stars on the red carpet this year include Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and Selena Gomez.
