Leaders of the Republican-led House released a measure Monday that calls for paying for the $14.3 billion in Israel aid by cutting an equal amount to allocated to the agency under President Biden’s signature Inflation Reduction Act.
The IRS has long been a target for conservatives, including those who say the $80 billion for the agency in act will go toward 87,000 new auditors.
“We’re not just going to print money and send it overseas,” House Speaker Mike Johnson.
