Idaho Mom Who Killed Her Two Kids Given Life Sentence

In a harrowing case that gripped the nation, Lori Vallow Daybell, an Idaho mother, has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the gruesome killings of her two youngest children and her husband’s former wife.
More than three years after the discovery of the bodies of her son, Joshua “JJ” Vallow, 7, and daughter Tylee Ryan, 16, in her husband’s backyard in rural eastern Idaho, Vallow Daybell faced her sentencing. The judge handed down the maximum sentence possible for the two first-degree murder charges of JJ Vallow and Ryan, as well as for the conspiracy to commit the murder of her husband’s former wife, Tammy Daybell.
Judge Steven Boyce emphasized the need for separate accountability for each of the three murders, ordering that the sentences be served consecutively. This decision ensures that Vallow Daybell will face the consequences of her actions without the possibility of parole, as she will spend the rest of her life behind bars.
