A teenaged male who reportedly is also an illegal homeless migrant has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a Florida sheriff trying to arrest him.
The incident occurred Friday night in the St. Augustine area after police began to investigate a suspicious person-trespassing call.
The deceased officer has been identified as St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Sgt.Michael Kunovich.
Kunovich reportedly died as a result of “medical distress” during the arrest.
