During Thursday’s House Oversight Committee hearing, tensions escalated as Democratic Representative Jamie Raskin of Maryland sought to involve former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani in the impeachment inquiry proceedings.
Raskin proposed a motion for a recorded vote to issue subpoenas for Giuliani and Lev Parnas, both of whom had organized interviews with former Ukrainian prosecutors regarding Joe Biden and his son.
The intention was to have them testify before the committee during the hearing. However, Committee Chairman Comer resisted this request and informed Raskin that he would be provided with evidence related to allegations of President Joe Biden’s involvement in favoring his son, Hunter, in overseas business endeavors.
