Indiana Democrat Tries To Attack GOP Rival In Mayor Race By Invoking Moms For Liberty

A Democrat candidate in the mayoral race in Carmel, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis, has repeatedly brought out the group Moms for Liberty when attacking a GOP candidate in the race.
An Indiana chapter of the group has followed the national group’s playbook by challenging diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in school districts as part of its “parental rights” mission.
However, mayor’s office has no administrative power over school districts, and the local chapter has publicly remained silent on the race.
Still, the chapter overall agenda and its use of a quote from Adolf Hitler in its inaugural newsletter has made Moms for Liberty an unexpected issue in race for mayor in Carmel, a city of about 102,000.
