Kentucky AG Daniel Cameron Wins GOP Gubernatorial Nomination

Daniel Cameron, attorney general of Kentucky, won the Republican nomination for governor and will face Democrat incumbent Gov. Andy Beshear in the November general election.
Cameron, who succeeded Beshear as attorney general, is Kentucky’s first black attorney general, and would be the state’s first black governor, if elected.
In increasingly red Kentucky, Cameron, 37, won fans for his numerous legal challenges against state and national Democratic policies, including Beshear’s severe COVID restrictions.
