Lake Booed At Arizona GOP Event After Leaking Tape That Forced Party Chairman’s Resignation

Arizona GOP Senate candidate Kari Lake was booed Saturday at a state part event to elect a new chairman, after Lake leaked an audiotape last week that forced the resignation of Chairman Jeff DeWit.

In the tape DeWit sounds as if he’s offering money to Lake, who continues to contest the results to the 2022 governor race she lost, for her to exit the Senate race.

When she took the stage and tried to make a case for Gina Swoboda, the crowd booed her for over a minute.

Some state party members believed Lake had worn a wire to set up DeWit, while others applauded her for exposing the bribe.
