Florida Governor Ron DeSantis unveiled a new billboard campaign aimed at recruiting law enforcement officers from Chicago, Illinois, to work in Florida.
The billboards feature an image of a police officer and the message: “Citizenship matters. Law enforcement matters.”
DeSantis emphasized the state’s welcoming attitude and offered a $5,000 bonus to officers making the move.
