Lgendary comedian Shecky Greene died Sunday morning from natural causes at his Las Vegas home.
He was 97.
Green’s wife 41 years, Marie Musso Greene, confirmed his death to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The comedian’s last ticketed performance was in 2011, but he headlined performances in Las Vegas in the 1950s and 1960s. He also appeared in several films, including “History of the World, Part I,” and television shows, such as “Laverne & Shirley.”
When asked Sunday what it was like to spend more than four decades with Shecky Greene, his wife said: “It was fun. He always made humor out of whatever he could. He made you laugh and feel good. It was a happy time.”
