LGBTQ-Centric Middle School Opening In Phoenix

In Arizona, a new LGBTQ-centric middle school is preparing to open its doors, offering students an alternative education that emphasizes LGBTQ+ history and curriculum.
The initiative follows the passage of Bill 2853, also known as “school choice,” by the state legislature last year. This bill grants parents the freedom to decide where to send their children to school, utilizing taxpayer-funded scholarship grants or education vouchers.
Starting in August, middle school students can utilize Arizona’s education vouchers to enroll at the Queer Blended Learning Center. The school will be situated in downtown Phoenix at one∙n∙ten, an LGBTQ+ youth nonprofit, as reported by AZ Central.
