The Huntsville-Madison County Public Library System released a statement on Wednesday, citing concerns about logistics and safety as the reasons for canceling the book reading event.
The library system mentioned that the Moms for Liberty organization had organized the event featuring Brave Books in a meeting room at Madison Public Library, but the anticipated attendance exceeded the library’s capacity, making it unfeasible to host the event. The Brave Books team, however, is challenging this decision.
Due to these developments, the planned book reading event, which was scheduled to take place on Saturday, will not be able to proceed as originally intended.
