Law enforcement sources have revealed that the fatal shooting incident that occurred inside a mall in the Mexican state of Michoacán last week was a targeted attack by a cartel, as rival criminal organizations continue their struggle for control in the region, according to Breitbart Texas.
The incident, which took place at the Las Americas shopping center in Morelia, Michoacán, resulted in widespread panic. As previously reported by Breitbart Texas, two individuals lost their lives in the mall’s parking lot during the shootout.
The victims were identified by the Michoacan Attorney General’s Office as Francisco “N” and Diego “N,” a police officer who served as Francisco’s bodyguard.
