A Utah man was fatally shot during an early morning FBI raid on Wednesday, as confirmed by the FBI to ABC News. The raid was conducted as part of an investigation into alleged threats against President Joe Biden and other individuals, according to information provided by two officials familiar with the case.
One of the officials informed ABC News that the investigation had commenced in April, with the U.S. Secret Service being informed by the FBI in June. Apart from posting threats online, the individual under scrutiny had indicated plans for taking physical action, the official stated. The threats were assessed as being “credible.”
The FBI’s Salt Lake City division reported that the shooting took place at approximately 6:15 a.m. local time when special agents were attempting to execute arrest and search warrants at a residence in Provo.
