MGM Resorts Taken Down In Cyberattack Led By Teenagers

A hacker group, believed to consist mostly of minors, has emerged, taking responsibility for the recent MGM Entertainment cyberattack. This revelation comes four days after the hotel network’s systems experienced a significant disruption.
MGM Resorts, the global owner of numerous casinos and resorts, has been grappling with an extensive outage since a cyberattack on Sunday necessitated the shutdown of systems across multiple hotels.
Although MGM Resorts asserts that it can maintain normal operations, some users have reported ongoing issues with its systems. The hacker group, known as Scattered Spider, which is notorious for employing social manipulation and exploiting cyber vulnerabilities, has now acknowledged its involvement in the incident.
