Mike Pence Meets With Zelensky During Surprise Ukraine Visit

Former Vice President Mike Pence embarked on an unexpected trip to Ukraine on Thursday, where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a demonstration of solidarity with the country as it faces the challenge of Russian forces encroaching on its territory.

Pence, who is actively seeking the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, had scheduled visits to Irpin, Bucha and Moshchun during his unanticipated visit.

This marks the first time a Republican presidential candidate has visited Ukraine since announcing a campaign for the presidency.
