In response to Texas’ request for assistance in addressing the ongoing border crisis following the expiration of Title 42 last week, several states have heeded the call and dispatched military and law enforcement personnel to the southern border.
Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves, a Republican, announced that his state would be sending Guardsmen to assist in addressing the situation.
He expressed concern about the Biden Administration’s prioritization of politics over public safety, stating, “Every state has become a border state.” Governor Reeves further highlighted the importance of safeguarding the well-being of Mississippi residents and mitigating the impact of the nation’s open borders.
