Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga. is calling for swift justice for the Guatemalan illegal immigrant accused of setting a woman on fire on a New York City subway train.
The disturbing incident took place when Sebastian Zapeta, a Guatemalan national, set fire to a sleeping woman on a New York subway train.
The 33-year-old was charged with first- and second-degree murder and first-degree arson.
The man allegedly used a lighter to ignite the woman’s clothing, according to police.
Zapata also fanned the flames with a shirt, according to Assistant District Attorney Ari Rottenberg.
Greene took to X, calling for an expedited trial and capital punishment:
“Death penalty, don’t waste money on a lengthy trial. Convict him and finish him. What he did is so incredibly evil,” Greene wrote.
