NASCAR driver Cody Ware was arrested Monday in in North Carolina, then suspended indefinitely from the car racing league.
The 27-year -old Ware was reportedly taken into custody by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office at about 10:30 a.m. and charged with felony “assault by strangulation-inflict serious injury” and misdemeanor assault on a female.
According to a police report obtained by The Associated Press, the arrest in in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident on or about April 3.
Ware missed the NASCAR Cup Series dirt race Saturday at Bristol Motor Speedway.
