NASCAR Legendary Cale Yarborough Dies At 84

Legendary NASCAR driver Cale Yarborough died Sunday at the age of 84.

Yarborough spent over four decades in the NASCAR industry.

He won four times at the Daytona 500, one of the most esteemed car races in the world.

Alongside that, he received three straight NASCAR championships between 1976 and 1978, becoming the only racer to achieve this feat at the time.

He also won five Southern 500 races on his home track in Darlington, South Carolina.

Yarborough retired from full-time racing in 1980 after winning six races.

After driving, he continued with Cale Yarborough Motorsports, which competed in the Cup Series until 2000.
