New Super PAC Launches $1M Effort To Unseat Sen. Ted Cruz

A newly formed super PAC, known as Lose Cruz, has emerged with the objective of unseating Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) in the upcoming election. Comprising a group of Texas strategists, the super PAC intends to convey anti-Cruz messages through online and television advertisements, with the first ad set to air in the following week.

Sawyer Hackett, senior adviser to the PAC, stated in an interview with NBC News that the group plans to leverage notable incidents involving Cruz in their ad messaging. This includes highlighting the senator’s controversial trip to Cancún, Mexico, amid the devastating winter storm that crippled Texas’s power grid in 2021.

Furthermore, they aim to scrutinize his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election and his role as a podcast host.
