Gavin Newsom defended President Biden’s cognitive abilities despite polls showing a majority of Americans viewing him as too old to run for re-election.
“I will take Joe Biden at 100 versus Ron DeSantis any day of the week at any age,” Newsom said.
DeSantis jumped in asking Newsom if he thought Biden was up to the job.
Newsom began to say “absolutely,” but stopped himself and said, “I’ve been spending plenty of time with Joe Biden, in private and public. And, by the way, results matter.”
