Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell revealed that his request to have a live lion on the sideline during gamedays was denied by the NFL.
In a recent interview on Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take,” Campbell explained that he had proposed the idea when he assumed the head coaching position before the 2020 season.
While team owner Sheila Hamp Ford was supportive of the concept, the league did not share the same enthusiasm for the unique gameday experience.
