Nicaragua’s Ortega Steps Up Attacks On Catholics, Freezes Priest Retirement Funds

Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega’s regime has reportedly frozen the retirement fund for Catholic priests, as part of its ongoing attacks against the church.
Elderly priests are being denied their pensions from the national insurance fund due to blocked bank accounts of the Catholic Church.
The fund was established 20 years ago to provide retirement support, offering a monthly pension of $300 for priests aged 75 and above, and $150 for those aged 65 to 74.
