NJ Gov. Murphy Says His State Can’t Handle More Migrants

Governor Phil Murphy stated on Thursday that New Jersey might not possess the necessary resources to accommodate an influx of migrants from New York City, as directed by the Biden administration.
These remarks from the Democratic governor, who previously expressed the intention to transform New Jersey into a “sanctuary” state for immigrants during his tenure, emerge as reports suggest that the Biden administration is exploring the possibility of relocating migrants from New York City to the Atlantic City International Airport.
This airport is one of 11 federal sites that have been presented to the New York City Mayor’s Office for consideration by the Biden administration.
