NY Mayor Adams Extends Remote Work To 16.5K More After Saying Idea ‘Draining’ City’s Economy

New York Democrat Mayor Eric Adams said Monday his administration will allow a roughly 16,5000 municipal employees in managerial positions to work from home twice a week.
Tens of thousands of non-managerial city workers have already been able to work from home two days a week.
Adam’s initially said remote work was “draining” the city’s economy but now says, “Public servants deliver for New Yorkers through the city’s most urgent crises, and now it’s time for us to support them as they have supported us.”
