New York City Mayor Eric Adams said Sunday he will impose an 11 p.m. to 6 p.m. on four additional migrant shelters, amid an uptick in crime attributed to such residents.
The total number of shelters will such a curfew will now be 24.
The curfew goes into effect Monday.
The cufew will impact about 3,600 migrants.
City Hall spokeswomen Kayla Mamelak said the curfew is intended to created a “more efficient capacity management for migrants in the city’s care.”
Many of the migrants have been sent to NYC from such overwhelmed border states as Texas.
