A straphanger was stabbed with an ice pick in a random act of violence in the city’s underground, police said Friday.
The 38-year-old victim was waiting with his friend for a Manhattan-bound J train at the Crescent Street station in East New York, Brooklyn, just after 4 a.m. on April 19 when he was suddenly attacked by a stranger in the unprovoked attack, according to authorities.
The victim was stabbed in the stomach by his assailant, who didn’t say a word, cops said. The injured man was taken to Interfaith Medical Center, where he is in stable condition.
