Pelosi Hits $700K In Private Jet Costs Despite Climate Change Push

According to campaign finance disclosures, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) spent tens of thousands of dollars more from her campaign for private jet travel, despite advocating for climate change policies that target the fossil fuels industry.

Pelosi, a proponent of green energy policies, faced criticism for her use of private jets as she led House Democrats in passing President Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, a comprehensive climate and energy bill that could cost taxpayers up to $1.2 trillion over 10 years.

Her campaign paid over $43,600 in March to the charter aircraft company Advanced Aviation for private jet travel, bringing her total expenses for such travel to almost $700,000 since late 2020.
