Pilot Confirmed Dead In California Military Jet Crash

A U.S. Marine Corps pilot has tragically lost their life following a military jet crash in close proximity to the Marine Corps Air Station located in Miramar, California.
After an extensive search conducted by both the U.S. Coast Guard and the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, the pilot was located. A statement from the U.S. Marine Corps, issued shortly before 11:30 a.m. local time, confirmed the unfortunate news that the pilot had been discovered deceased at the crash site.
The aircraft had only the pilot on board during the incident. The Marine Corps has stipulated that the identity of the pilot will not be publicly disclosed until a full 24 hours have transpired following the completion of all next-of-kin notifications.
