Police in Nebraska apprehended a suspect on Friday following a report by former Republican Arizona Senator Martha McSally, who stated that she had been sexually assaulted two days earlier while jogging along the Missouri River on the Iowa-Nebraska border.
The identified suspect, 25-year-old Dominic Henton of Papillion, was taken into custody in Omaha early the following morning, as confirmed by the Council Bluffs Police Department.
The department had previously announced the issuance of an arrest warrant for Henton on Wednesday night, charging him with one count of Assault with Intent to Commit Sexual Abuse in connection with the incident that occurred in Council Bluffs, a city adjacent to Omaha.
