Post Indictment Poll Shows Trump Leading DeSantis By 38 Points

A poll taken among likely U.S. voters after former President Trump was indicted last week on federal charges regarding his handling of White House documents after he left office shows him leading his closest 2024 GOP presidential primary challenger by nearly 40 points.
The CBS News-YouGov poll found that 61% of likely GOP voters would vote for Trump in the primary, compared to 23% for his closest challenger, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

South Carolina GOP Sen. Tim Scott and former Vice President Mike Pence each received four percent of the vote.
