Pro-Palestinian Protesters Arrested At Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting

The New York City Police Department carried out several arrests on Wednesday evening, a few blocks away from the annual tree lighting ceremony in Rockefeller Center.
Following an approximately one-hour rally outside the News Corp building at 47th Street and 6th Avenue, a group of several hundred pro-Palestinian demonstrators unfolded a large flag and briefly attempted to advance northward toward the tree. However, a line of police and barricades prevented their movement.
The group changed direction and moved southbound on 6th Avenue, away from the tree lighting ceremony. The NYPD reported that seven individuals, including six adults and one juvenile, were arrested during the protest on Wednesday night.
