Republican Senator Rand Paul expressed his skepticism during an interview with Fox News host Brian Kilmeade, suggesting that President Joe Biden is merely “bluffing” with his threat to veto the GOP’s attempt to separate aid to Israel.
Paul questioned the likelihood of President Biden making a public announcement that the United States won’t be providing aid to Israel.
This came in the context of a Republican effort to segregate funding for Israel from a broader spending package favored by the Democrats, which would link the funds to appropriations for Ukraine and other expenditures. The President has issued a veto threat in response to any such bill that reaches him.
