Red States Sue Over Biden Immigration Policy Allowing 30K Migrants Per Month To Stay In US

Republican-led states, often referred to as red states, are initiating legal action against President Biden’s administration regarding an immigration policy that permits the entry of up to 30,000 migrants monthly into the United States from South America and the Caribbean.
Commencing proceedings in a federal court situated near Houston on Thursday, Texas, along with 21 other states governed by the GOP, is contesting Biden’s humanitarian parole initiative. This program enables individuals from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to seek a two-year work sojourn in the U.S.
Texas asserts that the program represents an overextension of authority by the Biden administration and an illegal strain on their available resources.
